My story is what has led me to you!

You can probably relate.

My journey was not straightforward nor without its challenges. On top of my personal training qualifications I have learned lessons through my own fitness journey, which allows me to better help you.

Growing up I lacked confidence in my appearance, I hid through humour making jokes about my own weight so others didn’t. I felt like the real-life Tracey (Hairspray), I would hide chocolates under my pillow, eat whole bags of brioche roles and more! I would not even realise that wasn’t normal. My mum would find wrappers and confront me to which I would get defensive, angry and upset. I danced from the age of 4, and this was my true passion, I would be constantly active and had the mindset that because of this I could eat whatever I wanted.

I began to gain confidence at University as I was doing what I loved and I was happier. It is not just the nutrition, which affects our weight gain it’s the way we feel. Boredom eating & emotional eating.

Due to my insecurities I found the gym quite an intimidating, lonely environment to be in. I am a perfectionist and had no idea what I should be doing or how to do it properly. I am also a social butterfly so being alone to me was quite boring. I studied abroad in America, started going to gym classes, and came home with a Zumba qualification. I put it to use at University but instead of Zumba, I made my own workout classes utilising the gym movements and exercise benefits and attached them to songs. I realised I wasn’t alone, and a lot of people like me were intimidated in gyms, they too wanted the company. Seeing first-hand the impact these classes were having inspired me to create SoDaFit! The amazing health and lifestyle benefit this class had for people resulted in me then going on to get qualified further to gain the knowledge and skill to change lives, like it changed mine.

Knowledge is most important, I want to give you the knowledge to control your life, you’re the hero I am your guide. I want you to lead your life and for you to know why you are doing what you are doing, you aren’t in my power, you become your own power.

I pride myself in being relatable to my clients, I too have tried all the fads, tackled my own challenges, relapsed. I am not perfect, but my imperfections are what have led me to be the best trainer out there.

I never want you to hate a workout ever again. I want your workouts to be enjoyable!
